Choronzon whose number is 333, is also known as the Lurker At The Threshhold. He resides at the end of the Abyss. Aleister Crowley referred to Choronzon as the ” Magicians ego”. Choronzon also represents decay and dispersion. Any thing that has the potential to decay will be touched by Choronzon.
The Entity is extreemly cunning and dangerous. Choronzon will often launch attacks on the Magicians mind creating hullicinations. Choronzon is rather cowardly and will retreat if a Magician launches an attack on him.However he will not give up.
Choronzon is formless and often appears as a massive serpent.
Aleister Crowley invoked Choronzon into himself in the desert of Bou Sada in 1909. Crowley who was now possessed by the Demon tried to stab Victor Neuberg who acted as scribe.
Choronzon is often associated with Chaos. If a Magician is infected by Choronzon, his mind will slowly decay.
The 15th Century Magician and Scientist and Queens astrologer John Dee, first mentions Choronzon. This monster is compared to Samael and also the Serpent in the Garden of Eden. John Dee spells the Demons name with a “m” so it is written as Choronzom.
Once having crossed the Abyss the Magician enters a realm called Binah which is like an endless sea or ocean.
